Clarence Main Street Celebrates 2 Years of Successes!


Since being accepted into the Main Street America & Main Street Iowa families in August of 2017 Clarence Main Street has proven that bringing a community together through a cohesive plan produces results. Utilizing the Main Street Approach using the Main Street Four Points of Economic Vitality, Design, Promotion and Organization has resulted in systematic change happening in Downtown Clarence.Since being accepted into the Main Street America & Main Street Iowa families in August of 2017 Clarence Main Street has proven that bringing a community together through a cohesive plan produces results. Utilizing the Main Street Approach using the Main Street Four Points of Economic Vitality, Design, Promotion and Organization has resulted in systematic change happening in Downtown Clarence.

Community members have come together to host 3 seasonal events, a Farmer's Market, craft, vendor & fashion shows, shopping events, ribbon cutting ceremonies for new businesses, downtown clean-up evenings, a cross-walk painting day, planting and maintaining downtown flower pots, seasonal decorations, installing benches, design and installation of light pole banners and assistance with large & small grants.
