Clarence Main Street to Pursue Major Grant Funds

Utilizing the resources available, from their affiliation with Main Street Iowa and the Iowa Economic Development Authority, the Clarence Main Street program is pursuing several substantial grants this spring. One of the major grant programs available through Main Street Iowa is called the Open 4 Business Grant. This grant program encourages business expansion projects in designated Main Street districts, which create a positive climate for additional district investment. After offering this opportunity to the entire district, the Clarence Main Street will be pursuing the Open 4 Business Grant on behalf of Diamond Cutter Graphics and owner Gerry Stamp. Stamp has laid out some exciting plans to expand his offerings, services and commitment to the community.

A state appropriation was made to the Iowa Economic Development Authority (IEDA) for the Main Street Iowa Program to assist participating cities improve the physical and economic health of their designated Main Street districts. This state appropriation will allow Main Street Iowa to offer Open 4 Business Grants to participating communities for business expansion projects, with a maximum of $75,000 in funds being awarded to eligible applicants.
Each Main Street Iowa program may receive a single award from this funding round. Only one application per program is allowed.
