Clarence Main Street Welcomes Lincoln Highway Middle Third Auto Tour!

The Clarence Main Street will be welcoming the tour participants from the Lincoln Highway Association's Middle Third Tour on Thursday, June 19. The group is departing from Illinois on June 18, traveling their way along the Lincoln Highway to Cheyenne, WY. We invite the community to meet the tour as it arrives in Clarence, between 2pm and 3pm. We invite the group and the entire community to a welcome reception with refreshments at Highpoint Event Center, beginning at 2pm, featuring a history display of our place on the Lincoln Highway. At 4pm the Clarence Main Street Design Committee will be dedicating the Lincoln Highway Lamppost Project. Please plan to gather at the corner of 5th and Lombard.

Weather permitting, Kinion Auto will be displaying a number of their vintage autos throughout the Main Street district.

In addition, businesses will be extending their hours and welcoming all to stroll main street. We invite community members to play the tourist and take in some of the sites you may have overlooked, including the original Lincoln Highway marker downtown, the mural on the old city hall, Freida Bixler's Elvis Museum, the Little Lady of Liberty statue at the park, Kinion Auto's display of vintage autos, the Farmer's Market in the park and more!
